Greetings all and Welcome to the GT Austin Connection Website.
Welcome to this community sharing website. This has been designed to help us share what we have with one another. When you know of a job opening, please take a few minutes to post it here so our GT family will know. When you have some items that you would like to give away or sell or trade, please post them as well, and of course we want you to look at it often to see if there is something that can help meet your need too. Let's use this as a tool to help us be a Biblical community!

This site is where Members of our congregation can post items for sale, rent, or trade. You can also post services such as Music Lessons, Lawn care or Home Repairs. Please read the Terms of Service before signing up. This is a free service but in order to sign up you will need a referral code. This code was given out during service for several weeks and posted in the church bulletin. If you did not get the referral ID, please call the church office at 512-459-5481 and ask for the Referral ID.
This site was purged of data. All previously registered users will need to sign up once again. The referral code is the same as previously posted, but is also available from the church office. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the list administrator.
Instructions
You must have a referral ID to sign up for this service. You must call the church office to get the referral code.
When you sign up you must use a unique email address. So if your family has one email address then you should only sign up with one id. If you would like to get a second email address, there are several that are free. (Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo)
Basic Definitions
Looking For -- This area is where you will post your request. Here you will briefly state what you are looking for. (A 3/8 in Drill, A treadmill, Golf Club, etc.)
Items for Sale -- This is where you will post the items that you have for sale. If you have items that you wish to give away simply make the cost 0 when you post the item.
Job Information -- This is where you will post information about job openings that you are aware of. If the opening is within your company, please be willing to assist the job seeker in getting his resume in front of the hiring manager.
Rentals -- This is where you will offer items for rent.
Services Offered -- This is where you will offer services for hire such as lawn care, child care, music lessons, etc.
Searching for items -- Currently, when you do a search the list of items will appear along with a thumbnail photo of the item if one was posted. There will be 5 items per page and to view the next page of items simply hit next to move forward through the listing until you find what you are looking for. Click on the description and a window will open where you are with the long description and any additional photos. When you have reviewed the item you can either click to Clear results and do another search or make an offer on the item.
Posting an item -- Posting an item -- This is very straight forward... you will provide a short description of the item for sale. This is how your item will be listed in the search. You will then post a longer description of the item. This can be fairly detailed if needed. If you are posting an item for FREE, please put that in both the Short and Long description. It is sure to catch attention that way. You can also post up to 5 photos if you would like. However, it is not necessary to add a photo to post an item. Please be aware that items posted will remain active for 45 days. At the end of that period the item will go inactive and not be seen in the search or in the list of posted items.
Edit my Profile -- This is where you can change your email address or password. If you signed up and did not specify that you were a seller you can update your profile here to allow you to post items as a seller.
Check my Offers -- This is where you can see the items that you have posted. Come here to find items that you have sold to update the status of the item. Simply click on the item and select Mark Sold.
Making an offer -- When you find an item you would like to buy or act on simply click the "offered by" email address and your mail will open and you can send that person an email about the item listed. All activity will be between you and the poster. Neither the church staff nor the site moderator will be involved.
Marking an item Sold -- When you post an item and someone is interested in making an offer, you will receive an email, and you now can work with the person contacting you. Once an item is sold please log in and select "Check My Offers" then select the item you have sold. You will see the button "Mark Sold", click it and the item will no longer appear in the search. It is not necessary to delete the photos before marking the item sold they will be taken care of in regular database maintenance.
Should you find something inappropriate posted to the site, click the Report a post link and submit the information requested.
